"They went the extra mile to answer my questions, and their experience as a practicing ER doctor allowed complete peace of mind. They truly separates itself from other clinics in town due to their medical experience, proven results, and overall treatment approach. I couldn’t recommend this clinic more highly."

"They are very compassionate and understanding as well as being extremely knowledgeable and reassuring in regards to the treatment and what I was going through. I completed the round of the initial 6 treatment sessions and noticed a dramatic change in my symptoms afterward and continue to notice positive changes as the days go by."

Matt

"I want to compliment you on your wonderful staff! I have been a patient for 18 months and everyone that I have come into contact with has been exceptional. That is comforting for someone who has suffered from depression for 32 years. Your staff is a blessing and I hope you will let them know how appreciated they are!"

Yes! We are proud to offer a convenient option to help finance your treatments and achieve better mental health.

Advance Care Credit

Advance Care Credit offers up to 15 months of 0% interest. It’s an easy and affordable way to help you pay for treatments not covered by insurance.

We do not accept insurance at East Texas Ketamine Specialists. The initial induction series of 6 treatments costs $3,000, to be paid in full prior to beginning treatment. We accept cash and credit cards and offer financing options—typically at 0% interest for 15 months.

We advise that you avoid solid food for 6 hours prior to your appointment. You may have clear liquids (such as water, clear broth, or apple juice) up to 2 hours before your infusion.

We collaborate with your doctor or mental health provider. We’ll request to review your medical records to determine if ketamine infusions are appropriate for your care.

Most patients report significant relief after the initial series of six infusions. Some may require booster infusions after 1 or 6 months, but many do not. With ongoing therapy and lifestyle adjustments, long-term treatment may not be necessary.

Based on current clinical evidence and experiences, ketamine infusion therapy is administered with a careful approach to minimize the risk of substance abuse, aligning with our commitment to patient safety and well-being. We continue to adhere to the highest medical standards and protocols to ensure the therapeutic benefits of ketamine are realized with minimal risk.

No. You must arrange transportation home. A friend or family member is welcome to wait in our comfortable lounge during your appointment. Rideshare services are also acceptable.

While ketamine is FDA-approved as an anesthetic, its use for depression, anxiety, and chronic pain is considered “off-label.” This is common in medicine—many drugs are used off-label based on clinical evidence. For ketamine, a growing body of research supports its success when other treatments have failed.

You can expect to be at our clinic for 1 to 2 hours. Most infusions last 40 minutes to one hour, followed by a 30-minute recovery period.

Each patient’s experience is unique. Our provider will walk you through the process in your consultation and again before the infusion. Most patients feel calm and relaxed afterward. Occasionally, some may experience nausea, which we can treat with medication before or after the infusion.

Mild side effects typically resolve within a few hours and are gone by the next day. We recommend relaxing and taking it easy for the rest of the day following your treatment. There are no long-term or permanent side effects when treatment is supervised by a medical professional.
